Hey fashion babes!!
I have taken so many photos of this outfit that I am literally sick of it.. I just love it that much!!
I put together this outfit for my new job!! I am now a secretary, it's a daily afternoon shift that provides coffee and plenty of downtime to work on my blog, music, etc....
and when i'm not working on my things, I wait for people to come by eagerly because honestly, I love to gab about anything under the sun!!
First I wanna talk about the top-- a totally thrift find, I really lucked out because this piece is truly vintage. My educated guess is from the 70's and is based on the high collar (reminiscent of the mandarin), the voluminous bell sleeves, and the faded floral pattern. Can I just say OBSESSED. It's breezy and light, and definitely synthetic, which is another indicator of the decade.
The skirt is also a thrift find, it's so peachy!!! Hehe. I absolutely adore this skirt, made from a woven and sewn with basic darts. It fits snug at the waist and floats gently over the silhouette of my hips.
While these two pieces are definitely eye catchers- it's the accessories that really make this ensemble truly unique!
I put a scrunchie around my hair, which pulls from the 80's (as everyone is aware) and the unlikely combination of the business vibes from the skirt and top with the fun juvenile scrunchie vibes really pulls everything together in a one of a kind and personal way.
I kept going with those 80s feels by slipping on some slouchy socks and pairing them with a pair of bubblegum pink pointy slim-heels.
This bag has been my bag of the season! The red just goes with everything in my opinion- because it is bold and stands on it's own, it's easy to grab with almost any color combo!

I challenge and encourage you to wear something just a little unexpected! Go 'head, put together a couple of things that you would normally run from-- be brave, be bold, mix it up!!
