Hello!! And welcome to this post. :) Today I'm gonna talk to you about a good friend of mine, Ashley Huffman. *applause*

Ashley and I met with another now forever friend in 2014, when I had just arrived back into the states from studying a semester abroad in Spain. I previously had attended OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma and was so over that small town, especially having been waist deep in a totally vibrant and historic culture.
I transferred schools, staying local but headed to a bigger city and Oklahoma's capital: Oklahoma City. I needed roommates fast - and the University of Central Oklahoma had an online connection website for students who wished to live off campus with other fellow students! Their description of what they were seeking was an open minded person - and so I went for it! We were complete strangers moving in together - and ended up becoming like I said, forever friends. <3
Ashley has been living in Gunnison, Colorado for 2 years now! It was hard to say goodbye, but we kept in touch and had the perfect reason and motivation to visit Colorado! After living and working on campus at the college in Gunni, Ashley became a bud tender. That's where you become a "weed dealer" legally. It's so rad and bad-ass and the best part is that it is legal! She moved out there to be with her boyfriend as he finished up college, and has goals to pursue her degree once they settle in one place for a while- they are waiting now on a job offer! For now though, she crochets adorable headbands that are hella warm and thicc - perfect for the ridiculously cold Gunni weather (listed as the 3rd coldest city in the US!).

A pic of her creations! DM her or at least give her a follow for me. :) She is aashleeyymaariieee on insta.
*UPDATE* she now sells her creations on etsy! copy paste-go this link:
So, she and her bf moved back for a while as a transition move, and she got to come visit! She brought an outfit she was excited about - a couple of pieces that were given to her by a bud tender and co worker! The look is simple and well done for a casual hang - a blue skater skirt paired with a white sweater with sliced sleeves to give an off-hand off-the-shoulder vibe. To complete the look, she added classic white chucks. ADORBS.

How regal is that dog statue? Lol.
So she came by and she graciously allowed me to take over the outfit a bit, haha. I added just a little bit of that Sassy Says style. ;)

Weeee I'm just in love with POMS!! I kept the core pieces pretty plain as they are - because as much as I adore embellishments, simplicity is often key for comfort.

The orange purse I found cheap at a thrift store - it's sort of a jelly material. I sewed the poms into the front to give it just a little extra something-trendy. THE SHOES. She and I wear the same size - #blessed - I found these rare Nike bad bois on Depop - the best app for reselling vintage, rare, and funky one-of-a-kind pieces. (thriftfarm is my store)
I made shoe clips as well - DM me on instagram if you're interested in an embellished purse or pom earrings or pom shoe clips ;) ;) ;)

I gave her my favorite Ulta liquid matte lipstick - it's the perfect Red-Orange pop.

I styled her face with some vintage frames - they were my mom's from the early 90's - delicate silver wires with a dusty pink color around the eyes.
The earrings are white dangly circles - my current favorites because they give a 60's vibe and remain a simple addition to almost any outfit.

I love this pic!! Take some time to take pics of your friends - it's a lot of fun and you get to appreciate each other in a different way - friends are SO important and I'm so happy to have this one!!
Thanks for reading, friends and fellow fashion peeps.
till next time! <3
